This collaborative study was led by the University of the South Pacific’s Student Association (USPSA), Laucala Campus, and the Balance of Power Program, delves into an important paradox in the Pacific region. Despite making up more than half of the population, women’s presence in parliament is significantly low, among the lowest globally. The purpose of the study was to gain insight into the students’ perspectives and impressions related to the trustworthiness and influence of female leaders. Additionally, it sought to generate purposeful and thoughtful discussions about women’s leadership.
